When you learn techniques, you understand jiu-jitsu; when you learn principles, you become jiu-jitsu.
In the Part 2, you will learn eight more principles on the path to 32: River, Frame, Kuzushi, Reconnaissance, Prevention, Tension, Fork and Posture.
When people land in positions or situations for which they don’t have a specific technique, they tend to overreact and when they overreact, they burn excessive energy. Once you learn The 32 Principles, your ability to improvise in unknown situations will increase, and so will your ability to conserve energy.
