Master Sauer Seminar Series
For the first-ever Gracie University Seminar Series, Ryron and Rener partner with none other than Master Pedro Sauer, one of the most respected and sought after jiu-jitsu instructors in the world. With over 40 years of experience, Master Sauer teaches some of the most spectacular principle-driven seminars in the industry. To kick of the Seminar Series, he travels to California to allow the GU production team to capture his three most popular mastery seminars up close and personal. With Rener Gracie as his teaching partner and the big green mat all to themselves, Master Sauer had no restrictions on time, so he was able to delve further into the details than he ever does during his live seminars.

The Master Sauer Seminars are not included with any Gracie University subscriptions. You may purchase the seminars one-by-one, or purchase the bundle and get a substantial discount clicking the button on the right.

  Lessons
Seminar 1: Side Mount Escape Mastery Lesson Price: $65.00
In this special mastery seminar, Pedro teaches seven of his favorite escapes from the most dreaded position in jiu-jitsu – bottom side mount. First, he will show you some details that will take your shrimp escape to the next level, and then he will share his most reliable north-south escapes and some bonus details!

Seminar 2: Guard Pass Mastery Lesson Price: $65.00
Having experienced many injuries in over forty years on the mat, Master Sauer has adjusted his grappling style to optimize self-preservation. Today, he has a finely tuned guard passing system that he routinely uses against younger, stronger opponents. First, Master Sauer teaches the key principles of posture and his favorite ways to break the guard, and then he addresses options based on your opponent’s behavior.

Seminar 3: Submission Mastery Lesson Price: $65.00
Having regularly trained with much stronger and more athletic partners for over forty years, Master Sauer could rarely force a submission. Instead, he based his attack strategy on the principle of surprise. In this mastery seminar, he shares eight of his “sneakiest submissions” from the mount, side mount, guard, half guard, and back mount.

Seminar 4: Sweep Mastery Lesson Price: $65.00
Master Sauer fought against larger opponents for his entire career. Consequently, he spent most of the time in the bottom of the guard. To reverse the fight and sweep his opponents, he developed impeccable timing and precise technique. In this mastery seminar, Master Sauer describes seven of his favorite sweeps from the guard, so you can reverse the fight with maximum efficiency against opponents of all shapes and sizes!

Pedro Sauer
8th Degree Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Coral Belt

Pedro Sauer was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where from an early age, he began training in the martial arts. At age five, he began boxing and later took up judo and taekwondo. At age 15, however, his friend Rickson Gracie, invited him to train jiu-jitsu with his younger brother, Royler, who at the time was only nine years old. The outcome of this experience convinced him that jiu-jitsu was the most effective of all the martial arts, and he began training the very next day.

His training under both Helio and Rickson took place during a time when jiu jitsu was making its crucial transition as an obscure Brazilian art to a worldwide martial arts phenomenon. Pedro worked towards a double major (Economics and Business Administration) in college, and took post graduation courses at Fundacao Getulio Vargas. He worked in Brazil as a stockbroker for eleven years before deciding to move to the United States and pursue a career teaching jiu-jitsu.
